I was called a crunchy mom the other day and that was the greatest compliment! Yes, yes I am and I am thriving in it. My favorite friends have fur and feathers and I am content being surrounded by nature and my family.
If you want my laundry detergent recipe it’s SUPER easy:
1.5 c washing soda
1 c Borax
1/2 c Epsom salt
1 - 4 oz bar grated natural soap(I like Dr. Bonner’s Castile bar soap)

Family Fun Night was an absolute blast last night at @links52golf in Upland! We had SO much fun—not only do they have top-notch golf simulators, but they also offer a variety of other games that kept us entertained the entire time. Plus, they’ll be serving food and drinks soon, which is a game-changer for me since I’m always carting around hungry teenagers! This spot is definitely making my summer must-do list.
After all that fun, we had some of the BEST Texas-style BBQ at @mulecarsmokehouse in Downtown Ontario. We went all in with the “All da Smoke” platter, and it did not disappoint! The brisket was unbelievably tender and juicy, the tri-tip had incredible flavor, and the jalapeño cheese sausage was perfect. Jonathan even said the ribs were some of the best he’s ever had! We paired it all with mac and cheese, tater tots, coleslaw, and street corn—every bite was delicious.
We left with full bellies and happy hearts, and this spot is definitely going on our regular rotation. If you love good BBQ, you need to check them out!

I love where I live. Seeing these mountains civered in snow (finally) makes me so happy!!
He wakes up early Friday morning so we can go to breakfast together. I look forward to this all week long, and take a picture every week. I want to freeze these moments in time. This weekend marked the grand opening of Bullwinkle’s in Upland, CA, and we decided to make it a family fun night—and WOW, what an experience!
Not only did it bring back so many nostalgic childhood memories, but the revamped facility is absolutely incredible. There’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy, including:
• Virtual axe throwing
• Virtual darts
• Bumper cars
• Bowling
• Arcade games
• Laser tag
• Go-karts
• Miniature golf
…and so much more!
The place was bustling with people, which was great to see, but I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again when it’s a bit quieter so we can fully explore everything Bullwinkle’s has to offer!

What an incredible year it has been!

This year wasn’t just about business, though! Jonathan and I had the absolute joy of watching Trevor thrive while playing baseball for the Dodgers Scout Team. His summer was filled with adventures as he traveled to Seattle, Florida, and Arizona with his team.
Another huge milestone for our family was Trevor starting his first year of HIGH SCHOOL at Rancho Cucamonga High School—where I also teach! This marks my 18th year as a teacher, and I love it just as much as when I first began. Having Trevor at the same school makes it even more special. From riding to school together to his quick visits during passing periods for a snack or a hello, and cheering him on at his baseball games, it truly feels like a dream come true. But oh, how quickly time is flying by!
2024 brought its share of challenges for our family, but I choose to focus on the lessons those challenges taught us:
Be kind to everyone—you never know what someone might be going through.
Cherish every moment—life is precious, unpredictable, and sometimes far too short.
You can never say “I love you” too much to the people who matter most.
