The heat of summer is officially here and many of us are trying to find different ways to escape the heat. I have compiled a list of some of the fun activities going on around the Foothill Commuities to help you beat the heat this summer!
Head to the Movies!
Our local theaters are hosting some great summer savings this summer and allowing families to see films at discounted prices! For example, Regal Cinemas (formerly known as Edwards Cinemas) allows movie goers to see family favorites that were released more recently every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 11 for just $1 per person! The Terra Vista Theater is offering a similar experience to families at 9:30 AM on Tuesday mornings for $2. Whiles AMC and Terra Vista Theaters offer discounted tickets for all matinee movie showings...which is perfect for me as I want to be in a cool, dark place at the peak of the heat in the day!
Splash Around
Fontana Aquatic center is a great place to take the littles if you want them to cool off and splash around. If you are looking for more adventure, consider heading to San Dimas and going to California's largest water park, Raging Waters! This water park has something for everyone-a lazy riverm splash pads, toddler slides a wave pool and of course the exilerating slides! Be sure to check online for discounted tickets before heading over!
The Mountains are Calling!
Ready to escape the heat and explore some new territory? Check out Skypark Santa's Village. There is so much to do there! From mountain bike trails and hiking trails, to story time, meeting with Santa (yes even in the summer!), to Skate Nights on weekends and Tunes in the Trees each week, you are sure to make memories and have a blast! Right now, tickets are discounted as well as season passes!
