With all the fresh snowfall, every snow lover is itching to hit the mountains for some winter fun! Whether you're looking to go snow tubing, snowboarding, skiing, or simply soak in the serene beauty of a snow-covered landscape, I’ve put together a list of five fantastic ski resorts right here in Southern California where you can make the most of this powdery paradise!
Mt. Baldy Ski Resort
As the smallest of the local resorts, Mt. Baldy may not be the largest, but it still packs a punch! Located in Mt. Baldy, CA, this resort is a quick drive up Euclid or Mountain Ave, making it one of the most accessible options for Inland Empire locals. Mt. Baldy is best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders, with more challenging runs and incredible views of the valley below. Lift tickets start as low as $72, and gear rentals are available on-site. If skiing or snowboarding isn’t your thing, no worries—Mt. Baldy also offers snow tubing and snow play areas for a fun-filled day in the mountains!
Mountain High Ski Resort
If you’re looking for convenience, variety, and excitement, Mountain High is the spot! Easily accessible off the 15 freeway, this resort offers something for everyone—snowboarding, skiing, snow play, tubing, lessons, rentals, and even night sessions! Snowboarders will love the jumps and obstacles, while skiers can challenge themselves on a variety of runs. Lift tickets range from $99-$130, depending on the time of day and whether you're visiting on a weekday, weekend, or holiday. Want to lock in more snow days? Mountain High is currently offering a pre-season sale on 2025/26 season passes, which can also be used for the remainder of this season—perfect for those ready to commit to the slopes!
Snow Valley Ski Resort
On your way to Big Bear, you’ll find Snow Valley, a charming resort packed with value and variety. With 12 chairlifts, 28 trails, and options for lessons, rentals, snow tubing, and both day and night skiing, this resort is a fantastic option—plus, it’s about 30 minutes closer to the Inland Empire than the Big Bear resorts! Lift tickets range from $82-$115 for a full day, with night passes available for $39-$55. Pro tip: Buying tickets online can save you money, so check their website before heading up. Snow Valley is also part of the Big Bear Mountain Resort network, meaning you can purchase a lift ticket that grants access to all three mountains!
Bear Mountain & Snow Summit
Bear Mountain is a snowboarder’s dream, featuring a terrain park packed with ramps, rails, and jumps. It's also home to more challenging runs, making it a better fit for advanced skiers and riders.
Snow Summit is the go-to for skiing and family-friendly experiences. It’s also where all lessons take place, making it a great choice for beginners looking to sharpen their skills.
Lift ticket prices for Bear Mountain and Snow Summit range from $100-$160 per adult per day, but discounts are available for multi-day passes or group purchases. Both resorts also offer night skiing and snowboarding for those who want to extend their time on the slopes!
Before You Go...
If you’re planning a trip to the mountains, be sure to check current snow conditions, road closures, and any necessary travel restrictions. Most importantly—have fun, stay safe, and enjoy every moment in the winter wonderland!
As always, if you have any questions or just want to chat about why life in the Foothill Communities of the Inland Empire is unbeatable, I’d love to connect! ❄️🏔️✨

Hey Inland Empire, I’m Candice Newman! I’ve had the incredible fortune of being born and raised in this amazing community, and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. I currently live in Alta Loma with my husband, Jonathan, our son, Trevor, and our dog, Ruger! I’m a real estate agent with a passion for finding new places to explore in the Foothill Communities. When I'm not selling homes, you can find me cheering my son on at his baseball games, exercising, spending time in our local mountains, heading to the lake, cooking, or watching the Dodgers slay the Giants (I was born and raised an Angels fan, but the Dodgers have taken over the household!). I'll never have enough Mexican food and Italian food in my life. I’m looking forward to connecting with you soon! See you around town! Candice.Newman.Realty@gmail.com | (909) 367-3280 DRE: 01924842
